Our most sincere gratitude to the employers of the area who participated in our Job and Volunteer Fair in November. We have been fortunate to have a fantastic group each year. We look forward to another successful event next fall.

A new focus for us!  The job market is improving and we hope this year to offer programming that will work for those "thinking" about a job change. With that in mind, we are starting evening events!  Please join us on April 6th for our Kickoff Evening Event. David Magy of Magy, Abeln, Underberg and Associates will speak. We are very excited to welcome him to St. Cloud for our special Event. He will present a program  titled "Your Place in the Future Marketplace". This will include topics of trends in the marketplace, job hunting and career management. This event will be held at the St. Cloud Library.

Did you see it???? The SC Times ran a great article about the group on January 13, 2015.  It was great to see a group success story in print. If you missed it, here it is!   Way to go Jim Staska!
Huge Congratulations to Linda Peterson!  After soul searching and taking some time to know what she really wanted, she landed the perfect part time job in the court system. Great Work, Linda!
A great week for the group:  3 members announced new jobs.  Congrats to Anne Groetsch, Ted Venske and Frank Haynes.
Our sincere gratitude to retiring advisors Bonnie Wenker and Cynthia Prather. Your efforts from the initial meetings have formed a fantastic foundation for this group.  Be prod of what you started. Three years strong!
Congratulations to our newest advisors.  Kim Markwardt  and Morris Keeling have joined our advisory council. We are excited to have you.
Listen Up!  KNSI has done a story on "First Mondays". There is also an online version.
A special welcome to Sharon Sorenson or Heartland Organizing. She is a leader and a force. She will be facilitating Wednesday's meetings, organizing our meeting coverage and helping organize our files.  We are very happy to have her on board.
Two additions to our crew:  We welcome Mike Lamb back to the group as a presenter and facilitator and Mike Goodwin as an all around supporter of the Wednesday meetings. We could not support the community without the volunteer efforts of the advisors and past members. You are all very much appreciated.

On February 24th, we invited past attendees to return for networking and cake. We celebrated our 4th Anniversary of serving the community.
CMJT now has a phone number. The preferred method to contact us is through the website for the most immediate response. An alternate choice is now leaving a message at (320) 267-4120.
Great Events on the schedule. Join us for "First Mondays" on April 4 and May 2.  Also Resume Review on  April 20th.  Get your complimentary head shot to use for Linked in other social Media sites.
Sincere gratitude to all of the volunteers for our
"Resume Review and Interview Rehearsal"event on April 20th.

Kim Markwardt, Jena Klein, Carrie Stang, Holly Coady and Ryan Hylla all volunteered as Resume Reviewers. Mike Goodwin was on hand to offer help setting up personal business cards. Jodi Lubbers of Jody Lea Photography offered her services as photographer (www.facebook.com/pages/Jodi-Lea-Photography/)and Joel Butkowski of Butkoski Digital Imaging (www.bdiphoto.com)  loaned us his backdrop for our professional photos. It was a great day.
Looking for an opportunity to perfect your speaking skills?  Have a passion that you would like to present?  We consistently have 2-3 speakers per month. If you are willing to volunteer your time for an amazing cause, please contact us through this website.
Do you have a lunch hour at your job and get tired of going out to grab a bite? Instead, bring a lunch to our weekly meeting. Interact with those in the community looking for a change in their employment status. Find others who are thinking maybe there is a better position "out there". Build your confidence through connection with others in similar situations.  A welcoming and supportive group.
Hot off the press!!
Check out the article written for Sr. Perspective in regard to our group.  This newspaper is distributed free and its market is 45 and up. There are a lot of job seekers in that target market.    www.srperspective.com

Congratulations to Anne Groetsch on her position at Wells Fargo as an Instructional Design Consultant. We wish her the very best. Below are some thoughts that Anne offered about her experience with CMJT.
"CMJT is a great group! The benefits for me are/were:
1. Having the “ emotional support” so necessary and vital when self-confidence is not always there during a job search.
2. I was able to make connections or reconnect with members of the group.
3. I was able to participate not only as a job searcher, but also as a presenter—this time on Using Improvisation for Business and Life
4. I appreciated the presentations that were done on the various aspects of the job search. There is almost always a knowledge nugget I could take home and use.
5. It is better to be around others who share your ‘pain’, then to be isolated and trying to ‘figure it all out’ on my own.
6. I heard about other resources available to job seekers like Central MN Job Spot, MRC (MN Resource Center) , Coffee and Careers, MN Workforce Center, What Color is Your Parachute? Resume Review and photo shoot at CMJT, etc.

A final benefit of CMJT group—is it is an intimate group. I love the ‘smallness’ of the group....more one-on-one attention."
