Goals of CMJT
The goal of our group is to provide insightful speakers, provide informational programming and alternate with networking sessions throughout the calendar. Please let us know if there are any subjects you would like to see covered or if you would like to speak to the group.

Network Sessions
Network Sessions are more loosely structured meetings. We allow more time to do an indepth round of introductions and discussions are around a wide range of topics. Many times, the subject matter stems from a current issue that has come up within the communtity. On occasion, there are sessions where skills are put to the test.

The group is proud to have celebrated four years on February 8th, 2016.  Thank you to all who have supported our mission. We hope to be able to support and guide many more members of the community in the future.

CMJT and  AARP Minnesota Present:

Connecting with Life’s Purpose at Work:
  Workplace Transition and Career Change

What’s your reason for getting up in the morning?????

We know that having purpose in life leads to effectiveness at work, better health and overall happiness. Another name for it is having a “calling” and at work the opposite is “punching the clock.” In reality, our talents, passions and values are not always in alignment. Even when the power to make a change is within our control it can be hard to let go. Sometimes we know it’s time for a change but don’t know what’s next. Other times that change is forced upon us.

Jay Haapala is associate state director of AARP Minnesota, working with communities across the state of Minnesota to address issues facing older adults. He has led hundreds of workshops that help people navigate work-life transitions, whether job-searching, purposeful career changes, retirement or anything in-between. He has learned from experts and professional coaches, but also from the experience of program participants who share the insights of their own journeys.

Please join us for this very special session and bring a friend.
